modification. The dragon focused on the mental image of the spell, stretched out his hand and sent out energy. However, instead of the flash described as evidence of the spell's activation, several symbols lit up in front of Draco's hand. Sphere. Target. Flight. Piercing. Destruction. And with a single heartbeat, the runic circle activated the spell. A golden projectile flew across the room, smashing the target into tiny pieces. Draco stood there for a moment, wondering why a circle with dragon runes had appeared when he cast the spell.

-I think something's wrong,- Draco said, turning to Darius. -I tried to cast a normal projectile, but...- He shook his hand, not knowing what to say.

-Interesting.- Bleist scratched his head.- Did you imagine a runic circle?

-No.- The dragon quickly replied.

-Never before...- Darius paused in mid-sentence as if something had popped into his head. He thought intensely for a moment.- Now another way. You learned about the kinetic shield.- The dragon nodded.- Do you know how to cast it?- Another nod.- This time without demonstration.

-Alright master.- Draco took a few steps towards the centre of the room and recalled the image of a translucent, golden sheet of energy that should appear in front of his hand as a point defence. He pushed the energy in front of him while maintaining the mental image and again the activation deviated from what the books described. Instead of a gentle pulse of energy and a disturbance of the magical background around his hand, repeated dragon signs lit up around his wrist: shield, sheet, defence, reinforcement, forming a bracelet. Then the runes flashed with a stronger light and a kinetic shield identical to the one described among the thought spells appeared in front of Draco.- Again?- The dragon groaned cutting off the stream of energy.- Sorry, I...- He started but was interrupted by Gizel's excited voice.
