Living with her grandmother and learning the family art was much more absorbing and exciting than she had previously assumed. Anyway, it wasn't just the learning that was interesting. Le Moulin itself turned out to be much friendlier than Dagos. Jeviev's mother quickly gained the respect of the locals and, in addition to her grandmother's regular customers, she gained new clients of her own. Thanks to the increase in orders, she was still very busy, but now she found time for her daughter in the evenings, and they couldn't complain about a lack of money. In addition, over the past month, Jeviev had met children from the neighbourhood and had become friends with them. Her new friends showed her around the city, both the commercial areas and the centre itself, where restaurants, pastry shops and all kinds of shops were located side by side. A few times she also had the opportunity to admire the massive, heavy structure of a huge fortress built on a nearby hill. La Rocher Castle looked impressive, with countless towers rising into the sky, huge bastions embedded in enormous walls, an unknown number of gates protecting access to its secrets, and emerald banners proudly waving in the wind. More importantly, the fortress was the seat of a ducal family, which further fired the young elf's imagination, because where there were fair princes, there were also noble and handsome knights in shining armour.
