that the estate is well protected.

-Master does not skimp on security.

-Sometimes it is better to have someone trusted on hand than to be left alone in times of need.- Trace stated, trying not to show any emotions. However, the dragon noticed that he squirmed slightly.-Let's go on, young master.-He pointed to the path along the wall.

-How many soldiers are here?- Draco was curious as to how many served his master. He already knew that Darius was not only high-ranking and rich, but also cautious. Additionally, he had proven that he could be relied upon when he decided to help his friend without a second thought.

-Four companies, six hundred soldiers, -he said at last.-That's how many are permanently stationed here. Added to that are all those serving outside Atlantis and possible mercenaries. A total of several thousand trained soldiers.

-A lot...- The dragon couldn't say anything more. He had not expected the number of the master's private troops to reach such numbers. He had suspected that it would be upwards of a few hundred soldiers counting the manning that the castles might have had, but apparently he had underestimated their size.

-This is still less than in the days of the previous earl,- the lieutenant smiled slightly.-The colonel has slightly reduced the number of troops in active service, but the training regimes remain the same as before. Consequently, there are more troops possible to call up to arms.

-I would've never thought it was possible to have so many soldiers of his own.

-It looks like there is still a lot ahead of the young master.

-Evidently.

They didn't talk much more. They walked a little at a slower pace around the area along the walls. The lieutenant showed him the building of the main barracks located at the back of the whole area, the training area lying between the palace and the garrison and the warehouses hidden behind
